Long time resident of Charleston, Arkansas, Bettye King, will celebrate her 90th birthday, Saturday, April 8, with a reception at the First United Methodist Church in Charleston. The reception will be from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. All friends and relatives are invited. The celebrant requests no gifts, but her family says she would enjoy a card with a written memory. Bettye was born April 7, 1927 to the late Luther and Pearl (Brotherton) Bowen. She was married to the late Paul King. They have 3 children Randy, Steven and wife Sheila all from Charleston and Susan and husband Scott Armacost of Germantown, Tennessee. She has 5 grandchildren. Bettye is retired from Simmons Bank. She is a member of First United Methodist Church, choir, Eastern Star, founder and leader of UM Kids, volunteer at Greenhurst Nursing Home and retired coordinator for United Blood Service, serving 10 years. Come celebrate Bettye’s 90th birthday!
