County Line Elementary School Hosts Math & Literacy Night

Fairy-tales, prizes, and food combined for a night of fun for County Line Elementary students and their families at the annual Math & Literacy Family Night held last Thursday evening in the cafeteria.

Students visited different stations that were each their own fairy-tale and solved language and math questions. Besides being treated to free hot dogs, chips, cupcakes and drinks, the students also enjoyed different activities and chances to win a new Chromebook and many other prizes.

Based on research that shows children are more likely to be successful learners when parents are involved in their learning, the Literacy & Math Night is funded partly by Title I money earmarked for parent involvement activities.

A special thanks goes to these businesses and individuals who made contributions for the event:

All Care Pharmacy, Alpha Packaging, Circle M, Dairy Delite, Do Drop In, Grapevine Restaurant, Master Made, O’Neal Farms, Scott Robins, Six Mile Tire Center, Teague Farm, and Walmart.

October Reading Day

Students at County Line Elementary took a break last Wednesday to celebrate their love of reading. They enjoyed popcorn while reading their favorite book on a beautiful sunny fall day.
