Rebecca Ruth Stanley became the bride of Richard Dale Shomaker at 2pm Sunday, October 23, 2016 at an outdoor wedding at The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch in Dardanelle, Arkansas. The Officiant was Minister Timothy Mark Steele of Little Rock. Parents of the bride are Eleanor Ruth (Warren) and Harold Eugene (Gene) Stanley of Little Rock, AR. Her grandparents are the late Lillie Belle (Watson) and Truman John Warren, Sr. of Morrilton, AR. and the late Mildred (Rainey) and Elmer Milan Stanley of Beebe, AR. The groom is the son of Janice Ann (Nichols) and Harold Leroy Shomaker of Magazine, AR. His grandparents are the late William Richard Nichols and Vivian Ann Nichols of Maumelle, AR., Phyllis Jane Shomaker of Salina, KS. and the late Howard Leroy Shomaker of Popular Bluff, MO.


The outdoor setting was under a cathedral of trees. The brick pathway to the altar was lined with shepherd’s hooks holding hanging mason jars of baby’s breath with a mixture of lush florals. The couples altar consisted of abundant candlelight décor set within a beautiful antique fireplace mantel. On top of the fireplace mantle was a mixture of lovely lush florals in the color palate of blush, peach, ivory and eucalyptus.


Music was by Mr. Bill Thurman, Violinist of Little Rock, AR. Reader was cousin of the bride, Olivia Louise Marotte of Conway, AR. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white douppinoni silk gown with a ruched bodice with a lovely handmade classic floral lace shrug. The skirt extended from a beaded silk belt to a chapel train. Her heirloom veil was gathered with a pearl and lace blossom that was worn by her mother, aunt, cousin and sister on their wedding days. The brides bouquet was hand tied and consisted of:


Antiqued hydrangea, peach hypericum, peach garden roses Queen Anne’s lace, succulents, pale pink stock and seeded eucalyptus. It was surrounded on top by gold curly willow.


Matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Jennifer Watson Stanley Gladstone of Memphis, TN. Bridesmaids were Michelle Noble Golden of Springhill, TN. and Shenandoah Strojek of North Little Rock, AR. They wore knee-length dresses of navy silk-taffeta and carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet. Serving as the groom’s honor attendants were Best Man, Ivan Martinez of North Little Rock, AR. Groomsmen were Senica Henderson of Clarksville, AR. and Margie Cisne of Little Rock, AR.


The reception was held inside The Barn. The tablescapes consisted of navy blue linens, blush napkins and bone colored dinnerware. The centerpieces were a mixture of lush florals in the color palate of blush, peach and ivory in painted mason jars.


The bride graduated from Mount St. Mary Academy in Little Rock, AR. The bride attended University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, AR. The bride was employed at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.


The groom attended J.D. Leftwich High School in Magazine, AR. The groom is a Metrologist at MPG Gear Technologies in Subiaco, Arkansas.


After a wedding trip to Branson, MO. the couple will live in Charleston, Arkansas.
