Registration is Now Open for the 11th Annual Paint the Park Pink!


Fort Smith, Ark. (June 20, 2017) – Today the Susan G. Komen Ozark Affiliate announced that the registration for the 11th Annual Paint the Park Pink is now open! Collect your family, friends and co-workers and put together a team to support our walk and years of providing local women and men access to breast health services.


Online registration is now open at www.komenozark.org.


Established in 2007, Paint the Park Pink is a family friendly event to help raise funds for breast health services for local women. This event features a Survivor Breakfast, parade and tribute as well as a one mile fun walk, Kid Zone area and more.


“We are so excited to celebrate the 11th year of Paint the Park Pink,” said Lauren Marquette, Executive Director of the Ozark Affiliate. “Our mission is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality of care for all and energizing science to find the cures. The Paint the Park Pink event helps by raising funds and awareness to help local women in the River Valley who are fighting breast cancer.”


Since 2000, the Ozark Affiliate has provided nearly $2 million for breast health services in Crawford and Sebastian Counties in the River Valley.


The 11th Annual Paint the Park Pink will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the University of Arkansas campus in Fort Smith.

75% of net proceeds is invested in our local community and provides education, screening and treatment support services to women, men and families in the 10 counties served by Komen Ozark. 25% of the net race proceeds will be invested in breast cancer research through the Susan G. Komen Research Program.
