Learn how to prepare a nutritious meal for a family of four for $10 or less. Class includes cooking demonstration and prepared meal. Limited seating, RSVP required call (479) 782-6302.


Wednesday, August 15, 10:00 a.m. Tube Feeding Education.


Presented by Miranda Hickmon, MS, RD, LD, United Medical. Various medical conditions, including cancer treatments require the placement of a feeding tube for life-giving nutrition. Proper nutrition, care for the feeding tube, and expense are common concerns which will be addressed in this session. Light refreshments provided by United Medical. Thursday, August 16, 5:30 p.m. Understanding Palliative Care.


Presented by Dr. Pamela Gaborni, Mercy Hospice & Palliative Care. Palliative Care provide supportive care and pain management that eases pain and stress for people with serious illnesses. It combines traditional medical therapies with treatment of emotional, social and spiritual needs. The palliative care team improves the quality of life for both patients and their families. Gain knowledge and understanding through this session. Light refreshments provided by Mercy.


Wednesday, August 22, 10 a.m. Coffee & Conversation: Cancer Prevention through Nutrition.


Presented by Jenna Siebenmorgen, RD, Dietician, Mercy, Fort Smith. What we eat can provide a powerful tool for preventing cancers. Learn more about how to prevent cancer through your diet. Coffee and light refreshments provided.

All groups and classes are FREE & open to cancer survivors, fighters, co-survivors and caregivers.
