“I am very excited to formally announce my candidacy for re-election,” Franklin County Judge Rickey Bowman said this week. His announcement continued as follows:
“My wife, Dianna Doss Bowman, and I have enjoyed 39 years of marriage, we have raised 3 children and have 8 grandchildren. We are life-long residents of Franklin County and are members of Kibler Baptist Church.
“I graduated Ozark High School in 1978 and received my Bachelor Degree in Agri Business at ATU in 1981. We received Farm Family of the year in 2000 and I was awarded the Outstanding Public Servant Award by Ozark Chamber of Commerce in 2015.
“As your county judge I serve on many boards, I’m very proud to serve on the Executive Board of Western Arkansas Planning and Development and also to be nominated and chosen to serve on the Executive Committee of the County Judges Association of Arkansas by the other 74 county judges of this great state. I also serve on the WIOTA, HUD,WAEDA, Solid Waste, Franklin County Library, Belt Cemetery and Farm Bureau boards. I am a member of the Ozark, Charleston and Altus Chambers of Commerce and Ozark Rotary.
“When running for office, I promise to work hard as a full-time judge, I work hard each day to keep that promise. Even on the toughest days (and there are a few) I still enjoy serving you as your county judge. Given the opportunity, I will continue to work hard each day to make improvements to OUR HOME and promote unity within our country.
“Thank you again for this opportunity and thank you in advance for your vote and support as I continue my campaign for reelection on Nov. 6”
