Guy News
By Brenda Dowdy

There are lots of fundraisers going on for the Guy Perkins Fall Festival. Please help support the Kings and Queens.

The following had birthdays: Dustin Hooten, JW Dowdy, Lisa Glover Bivens, so give them a shout out of birthday wishes!

My dear friend, Becky Gray, celebrated her birthday at a Gospel Meeting, she said she really enjoyed it.

Please keep Albert Woods in your prayers. He is improving and can talk to you now and is able to swallow better. He some water but started coughing. Baby steps, but getting there, so if you go visit him it is very important not to give him water or anything to drink. As he still has a stomach tube. The therapist is working with him so that he will eventually be able to do it all. They don’t want it to get in his lungs! Be patient, he is getting better.

The following need prayers: Clark and Linda Stevenson, Darrell and Bessie Bearden, David Stevenson, Ed Stephens.

The Guy Church of Christ will be having a Fall Festival at their building from 7 - 9 p.m. October 31st after a small devotional at 6:45pm. They will have games food and lots of booths for all kids. Be sure to mark your calendar!

Please send news to me at 501 450-0395 or catch me on face book Remember to be safe don’t drink do drugs or text while driving. Have a safe week.

Centerville News
By Jennifer Freeman

October so far has seen a stir of activity at Centerville United Methodist Church. October 3 saw the first meeting of the Firepit Gospel where several men of the church gathered for discussion of biblical (and other) matters. That was followed on October 6 by the Chili Cook-off at the Enders Community Center where tactician strategists (also know as cooks and mamas) vied with one another about who make the best hot stuff. In a tight race, Pat Ward, won that skirmish. Then last Sunday, the annual Communion by the Lake was observed with singing, preaching, a baptizing, and picnic lunch. Quite a series of events for a century-old country church

But wait! There is at least one more to go. On Sunday, October 14, the Faulkner County Singing Club will meet at Centerville UMC. Singing will begin at 1:30 pm and run until approximately 3 pm. Visitors are expected from Cleburne, Conway, White, and other counties, along with a substantial local contingent, and the public is cordially invited. Join us in our 102nd year for a good .musical time.
