On October 1 the County Line Indians boys’ golf team competed in the 1A State Golf Championship at Mountain Ranch Golf Course in Fairfield Bay, AR. The Indians came away with the school’s first state title in golf. The team was represented by Presley Sayakhoummane, Caleb Robberson, and Tanner Acord. Presley shot a score of 90, Caleb a 95, and Tanner a score of 109, for a team total of 294. Heavy rains that morning made for a soggy course, but the boys played through the adversity to outplay Shirley High School which had a team total of 302, and Taylor High School with a score of 306. Presley and Caleb both received All-State honors and Presley qualified for the Overall Golf Championships to be played at Pleasant Valley Country Club in Little Rock on October 11.
