The University of Central Arkansas Outreach and Community Engagement will offer free classes on economics and smart recycling in November.

Captain Patrishia Knott, local Corps Officer for the Salvation Army will share “an overview of the material, focusing on the mental models, driving forces, and different perspectives across economic classes that result in misconceptions and disconnects,” Outreach officials said. There is no cost for the class, which will be 9-11 a.m. Nov. 1.

From 9-11 a.m. Nov. 15 and 16, Recycling Coordinator Whitney Reuschling will answer any recycling or sanitation questions as well as discuss acceptable items in the city’s recycling program.

“This course will culminate with a class tour of Conway’s Material Recovery Facility,” Outreach officials said. “Students must provide own transportation.”
