CHARLESTON SENIOR ACTIVITY CENTER TALK

Nov 26th, The Mulberry Dirt Dobbers came to Charleston to play the Senior Tigers some bean bag baseball. Game one the Senior Tigers won 18 to 16. Mary Bohannan, Sharon Potts, Bob Olds, Charlie Brown, and Charles Bohannan all made homeruns. Bob Olds is the homerun champ, he made two. Game two, The Senior Tigers won 19 to 10. Mary Bohannan, Sharon Potts, Betty Ayers, Peggy Metcalf, Bob Olds all made homeruns. Betty Ayers is the homerun champ with 3.


Nov 28th, The Alma Mighty Dogs traveled to the Charleston Senior center to play a few games of bean bag baseball. Game 1, the Senior Tigers won 14 to 7. Sharon, Betty, Peggy, Wayne, and Charles all made homeruns. Betty Ayers and Peggy Metcalf tied for homerun champ with two a piece. Game 2, The Senior Tigers won 18 to 11. Betty, Judy Brown, Wayne Ayers, and Charles Bohannan all made homeruns. Betty Ayers is the homerun champ. She made 2.


Dec 5th, 12:30 to 2:00, Jasmine from the Area on Aging Agency will be here to present the DEEP. The DEEP program is a diabetes self-management program that has been shown to be successful in helping participants take control of their disease and reduce the risk of complications.


Dec 5th, Board Meeting at Ozark at noon. Open to the Public.


Dec 7th, Bingo 9:45 to 10:45

FLU SEASON…. Please remember to WASH, WASH, WASH your hands often. Remember that Seniors have a lower immune system than someone in their 20’s and it is much harder for them to recover. Please take extra precautions to protect your loved ones!!!
