Jolene Joy DuVall, 90, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Tuesday, August 23, 2016, in Fort Smith.

Jolene Joy DuVall, 90, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Tuesday, August 23, 2016, in Fort Smith. She was born February 3, 1926, in Waldron, Arkansas to William Taff and Gertrude (Ashford) Taff.

She worked as a “Rosie the Rivereter” in Oklahoma City during WWII, was bookkeeper for the family body shop and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Fort Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. DuVall; her son, Dave DuVall; six brothers, J. C. Taff, Verlon Taff, Scott Taff, Mack Taff, Warren Taff and Waylon Taff and two sisters, Joyce Moore and Erdean Kirby.

Graveside service was held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 25th, 2016 at Parks Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Charleston.

She is survived by two sons, William DuVall of Pueblo, Colorado and Warren DuVall of Booneville; one sister, Wanda Taff Graham of Lavaca; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
