Delbert Leondos Hill, 91, of Lavaca, Arkansas, died Wednesday, July 5, 2017, in Charleston, Arkansas. He was born May 26, 1926, in Witcherville, Arkansas, in Sebastian County to George Dewey Hill and Mary Etta (Gross) Hill. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ann Hill; one sister, Jewell McCartney; and one brother, Rufus Hill.

Delbert was a retired preventative maintenance mechanic at Dixie Cup in Fort Smith for 33 years. He was also a Southern Baptist minister for over 50 years, preaching the gospel and serving as pastor at numerous area churches. Delbert recently was pastor and member of Vesta Baptist Church.

Funeral service was at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 10th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Pastor Russ Tyler officiating. Burial was at Oak Valley Cemetery, located south of Lavaca, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Gann, and Lisa Eubanks; one son, Lynn Hill; one sister, Marlene Denney; two brothers, Dean Hill, and Dennis Hill; three grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Lee, Clyde Simmons, Randy Rice, Don Sosebee, Jim Anderson, Bobby Neissl, and Larry Balch.

Family visited with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
