CONSER, Okla. — Charles Dean Johnston, 85, of Conser, Okla., died Wednesday, June 13, 2018, in Heavener. He was born April 10, 1933, in Conser. He worked for Spartan Aircraft in Wichita, Kan., American Airlines in Tulsa and the U.S. Forest Service and was a member of United Methodist Church in Hodgen, Heavener Masonic Lodge No. 154 and McAlester Scottish Rite.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church with burial with Masonic rites at Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home in Heavener.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn Johnston in Heavener; two sons, Bob Johnston of Conser and Bryan Johnston of Lewisville, Texas; a brother, Bobby Johnston of Conser; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Robert, Jason, Richard and Jerimiah Johnston, Aaron Ward and Michael Standifer.

Viewing will be noon to 8 p.m. today and 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where family will visit with friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
