Grady Harold White Jr., 78, moved to heaven August 18, 2018 in Fort Smith, AR. He was born March 12, 1940, in Lavaca, AR, to the late Grady Harold White Sr. and Lillian Beatrice (Means) White.
Harold served in the U.S. Army Reserve and was remembered for being a full time bricklayer and a tough weekend dirt track stock car racer. Harold retired from AOG and was an avid fisherman. As a member of the Cavanaugh Bass Club, Harold enjoyed catching fish just as much as he enjoyed telling the stories. Harold never met a stranger and was well known to many as “Whitey”.
Harold was a generous man and this will continue due to him being a registered donor for the Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency.
Memorial service was held at 10 AM, Friday, August 24, 2018, at Smith Mortuary Chapel Charleston, AR. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Smith Mortuary, Charleston, AR.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Shirley White of Fort Smith; one daughter Stephanie Neidecker and husband Bruce of Van Buren, AR; one son Matthew White and wife Sonia of Falls Church, VA; one sister Zoe Ann Hallford and husband Chad of Greenwood, AR; one brother Bob White and wife Mae of Charleston, AR; two granddaughters Bryce and Sloane, and a host of valued friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
