Lisa Ann (Sarten) Butler, who resided in the Cox Valley Community, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in Fort Smith. She was born December 16, 1966 in Booneville, Arkansas to Carmel Ray Sarten and Patsy Rose (Harris) Sarten. She was 47 years old.

Lisa was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Sarten and one nephew, Darryl Miller.

Lisa was a CNA and previously worked at Paris Health & Rehab Center. She was a 1986 graduate of County Line High School, and was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Paris.

Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 20th, 2014 at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with the Rev. J.C. Kinder and Rev. Frankie Harris officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Grove Cemetery, located south of Caulksville, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Michael; her father and mother, Carmel and Pat Sarten of the Cox Valley Community; two sisters, Joy Miller and husband Jerry of Cecil and Linda Stinnett and husband Kenny of Paris; two brothers, Johnny Sarten of the Cox Valley Community and Ronald Sarten and wife Dorothy of Paris, and several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

Pallbearers were Jerry Miller Jr., Mitchell Stinnett, Jimmy Don Sarten, Steven Sarten, Charlie Sarten, David Sarten, Randy Butler, and James Harris.

Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Paul Harris, Charlie Harris, Carl Butler, and her best friend, Ramona Black.
