Velma Naomi Graham, 81, of Lavaca, AR, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014, in Fort Smith. She was born January 12, 1933, in Bloomer to John and Mabel Carson Durham. She was a Baptist. She retired from Whirlpool in 1996 after starting there in 1962 when it was Norge. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph and all of her siblings, Idell Durham, Alma Graham, Bill Durham, Bobbie Jeffcoat, Marvin Durham, Babe Durham and Sonny Durham.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 30th at Smith Mortuary Chapel with interment at Center Valley Cemetery, So. of Lavaca under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston,
She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Graham of Lavaca; two sons Tim Graham of Charleston and Gordon Graham of Lavaca; two ex-daughters-in-law, Lori Freitas of Bloomer and Pat Mowrey of Dyer; four grandchildren, Channa Gardenhire of Fort Smith, Leigha Graham of Lavaca, Jessica Graham of Charleston and Anna Brown of Van Buren,; seven great-grandchildren, Anthony Torres, Tyler Graham, Derek Miner, Kori Gardenhire, Logan Boggs, Garland Nelson, III, and Kolt Boggs; and friends at Covington Court and Mercy Hospice in Fort Smith.
Pall Bearers will be, Lynn Gardenhire, Bob West, Darian Butler, Ron Kolander, Dennis Butler and Willie Graham.
Honorary Pall Bearers will be Anthony Torres, Tyler Graham, Raymond Graham, Derek Miner, Ruben Graham, Ronald Graham, Terry Williamson, Freddy Clinard, Roger Graham, Randy Graham, Dustin Murrah, Winton Carson, Delmar Bullington and Robert Douglas, Kris Boggs & Josh Belk.
