A man accused of robbery was arrested by Fort Smith police on Thursday.
Tyler Anthony Walters of Fort Smith was arrested on suspicion of robbery, an out of state fugitive from justice warrant out of Sequoyah County for suspected larceny and a failure to pay a fine warrant out of Fort Smith. Walters' robbery warrant was out of Sebastian County, according to the arrest report.
At 6:15 p.m. Thursday, Fort Smith police officers Giselle Elmore and Angus Bradford went to a home in the 1900 block of North 46th Street to serve Walters his warrants. An elderly man who exited the back door told Bradford Walters was inside and gave him permission to search the home, the report states.
Bradford and Elmore found Walters in a shower in the residence and arrested him, the report states.
