Members of Franklin County Retired School Employees Association met December 10 at the First Methodist Church in Ozark. During the business meeting it was reported that members have recorded a total of 4281 volunteer hours, 2253 being youth and the rest community volunteer hours. Nursing home gifts were collected for Franklin County’s two nursing homes.

After the business meeting members were entertained by the Methodist Church Bell Ringers directed by Andrea Romo. After a couple of numbers Andrea gave us a tutorial on bell ringing techniques. Following that all of the audience was welcomed to participate in a couple of numbers. The performance was, if not technically perfect, highly entertaining. The members of the Bell Ringers present were Adam Fetters, Dawn Nevel, Angel Yother, Candy Ervin and Lexie Harris, as well as Andrea Romo.

A luncheon of soups, salad, sandwiches and deserts was provided by the Ozark members. The meal was catered by Clinton and Roxie Hall and was enjoyed by all.

The next meeting of FCRSEA will be February 11 at 10:00 at the Ozark Middle School-Hillbilly Hall- in Altus. There will be a program on self defense presented by Ozark Police Department. A meal will be provided by Ozark Schools.
