The Franklin County 4-H Pullet sale will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24 th . The sale will be located in the poultry pavilion at the fairgrounds in Ozark.
The pullets will be sold in pens of 4. The pullets are Hy-Line Browns this year.
Hy-Line Brown Chickens are a genetically created breed which were developed for superior egg laying. They are quiet, passive, non-flighty birds which are well suited for the backyard and farm production.
The pullets have been grown and taken care of by Franklin County 4-Hers as part of their poultry projects. All money raised from the sale will be used to purchase day old pullets for the project next year.
Anyone needing a few good layers are invited to attend, of course, everyone is welcome.
