The Charleston School District is pleased to announce that it will host the 3-A State Basketball Tournament during the week of March 4th through March 8th. Games will begin Tuesday at 1:00 with the last game of each evening beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Four semi-final games will be scheduled in two sessions on Saturday, March 8th. Session 1 with games one and two will begin at noon and 1:30 p.m. Session 2 with games three and four will begin at 6:00 and 7:30 p.m.

All spectators must enter the high school gym through the front high school Tiger Center entrance. The south, ground level entrance will be designated for players and coaches only.

The Arkansas Activities Association will post a bracket online when advancing tournament teams are determined and update the bracket as teams advance through the tournament. Members of the community may follow the progress of their favorite teams at the AAA website found at:

"The district expects thousands of visitors on its campus and within the Charleston community during the week of the tournament," said Jeff Stubblefield, Superintendent. This event will have an impact on local businesses and provide increased revenue opportunities. "So often local business owners generously support the needs of the district’s students and programs, and it’s our hope this event will serve as a platform to give back to our community," Stubblefield added. Extra security will be provided by local law enforcement officers. Anyone who wishes to purchase an advertisement in the program may contact Amy Keener at 479-965-7150, extension one.

The 3-A State Basketball championship games will be held in Hot Springs at Summit Arena the following weekend.
